Uraga no Watashi (Ferryboat)

Uraga no Watashi (Ferryboat)

Nicknamed "ponpon-sen," Uraga’s ferry has been a symbol of Uraga, connecting the east and west Kano shrines.
The ferry dates all the way back to 1725, soon after a magistrate’s office was established in Uraga. It continues as a local means of transportation today.
