Iwagami Gongen Sugi, Iwagami Gongen no Kurobe

Two trees extend their large branches upon a slope overlooking fields and rice paddies.
One is the Iwagami Gongen Sugi, which is worshiped by locals as a sacred tree.
Next to it stands a Japanese cedar (sugi) two to three hundred years old, 25 m-tall, and 12.2 m around the trunk—one of the largest in Japan.
