Prefectural Park Funkawan Bay Panorama Park

This is a recreating facility where you can play all day long, directly connected to the Yakumo parking area on the Hokkaido Expressway, and it can also be reached by general roads and Route 5.
It is maintained in a hilly area overlooking the panoramic view of Funkawan Bay.
It is a gentle uphill road from Route 5 to the mountainside. On both sides, the road is lined with about 300 Japanese white birches, and the facility is located where the climb reaches the summit.
The panoramic road seen from the top of the hill is spectacular, and when the weather is nice, you can have a sweeping view of Mt. Yotei.
On the vast site with a total area of 63.7 ha, there is an open adventure ground called Makiba fitted with athletic equipment, where children can lose themselves in play, a park golf course, a panoramic hall with indoor playground equipment, and the Auto Resort Yakumo (an auto campground).
In the flower fields on the grounds, you can enjoy sunflower fields in summer and cosmos fields in fall.

Makiba Open Adventure Ground

In a vast lawn area, there are about 15 types of large and unique playground equipment rarely seen elsewhere in Hokkaido.
There is also a barbecue corner.

Auto Resort Yakumo (auto resort campground)

It is attractive for its location overlooking Funkawan Bay and extensive facilities.
There are 30 car sites (7 of which are pet-friendly) and 12 lodges (2 of which are barrier-free).
The authentic Goemon baths where water is heated with firewood and tree houses are popular.
Hands-on menus such as Dutch oven classes and ice cream making are also extensive.

Panoramic hal

It has an indoor play space called Kids Arena where kids can play to their heart’s content regardless of the weather and a panoramic café where you can have a light meal while taking in a view of Funkawan Bay.
It is a hub facility that provides sightseeing information on the surrounding area as well as information on the park.

Park golf course

Surrounded by magnificent nature, it is one of the largest courses in Southern Hokkaido with 45 holes, and 9 of them are designed to be barrier-free, so that beginners, children, and people with disabilities can all enjoy it. (Clubs are also available for people with disabilities and children.)
