Rengeji Temple

Rengeji Temple, which is fondly known as Hachisuka Kobo, is an ancient temple of the Shingon sect that is said to have been founded by Kobo Daishi and is also known as the family temple of the Warring States period military commander Hachisuka Koroku Masakatsu and his son Iemasa.
It has a long history, is rich in cultural assets such as mandalas and Buddha heads, and is blessed with a beautiful natural environment.
Additionally, to the south of Rengeji Temple are the stone monuments Hachisuka Koroku Masakatsu Monument and Hachisuka Castle.
