Sekiun-In Temple
The Katsumata clan established this temple. It has received the patronage of renowned daimyos, including Imagawa, Takeda, and Tokugawa.
Sanmon (main) gate, Somon (outer) gate, the Choishi (milestone marker for a "Cho" — about 109m) along the path leading up to the shrine, and the carving of Ryumon Falls, etc., are all part of the city's Designated Cultural Assets.
The temple is known for its outstanding architecture and carvings.
At about a 10-minute walk from the Mt. Fuji Shizuoka Airport, surrounded by its "Chinju no Mori" (sacred groves), it is favored as a place to experience cultural assets from across time.
