Reigando Cave
Reigando Cave can be found at the foot of Mt. Kinpo, in western Kumamoto.
The cave is located at the rear of the mystical temple grounds of Unganzenji, carved into the side of the mountain and covered in dense foliage. Inside the cave is a stone statue of Iwato Kannon.
This cave is most famous for being the location where Miyamoto Musashi spent the final five years of his life writing "The Book of Five Rings", his great treatise on martial arts.
