Sayama Park

Located at the entrance to the Sayama Hills, this metropolitan park still retains the satoyama scenery and lush nature of Musashino and is famous as a scenic spot for viewing cherry blossoms.
In the park, you can enjoy nature throughout the four seasons, such as blossoms of Yoshino cherry, Yamazakura (hill) cherry, Satozakura (village) cherry, and other cherry varieties, flowering dogwood, and pampas grass.
The park has an open space suitable for picnics, thickets, ponds, and walking paths where you can enjoy nature experiences such as birdwatching, and is bustling with people, from parents and children to the elderly.
Tama Lake extends to the west edge of the dam in the park, and sunsets seen from there are spectacular.
Every year, events are held regularly, such as “Sayama Kids Day” on Children’s Day on March 5 and “Sayama Hills Day” on Culture Day on November 3, as well as guided walks by park rangers.
