Tama Lake Cycling Road

The official name is Tokyo Metropolitan Road Route 253 Hoya–Sayama Nature Park Bike Path.
It is a bicycle and pedestrian road with a total length of about 21.9 km, consisting of a 10 km straight section from Tama Lake to the Sakai Water Purification Plant and an excursion section of Tama Lake of about 12 km.
Every part of the straight section running from Nishitokyo City to Higashimurayama City is easily accessible from a station, and has the park and cafés adjacent to it, so it is a popular place not only for people who enjoy walking, running, and cycling, but also a bustling place for local residents to relax.
The straight section leads to Sayama Park, and sunsets seen from the Tama Lake embankment are superb.
The excursion section is surrounded by nature, and you enjoy exercising while looking at Tama Lake and Sayama Lake from among the trees.
