Senganmon Rocks
The Senganmon Rocks is the name of the mouth of a cave created when the central part of a rocky surface was eroded by waves.
It is also called the “Torii(Gateway)” on the sea due to its appearance that looks like a giant gate.
It has been regarded as the gate of Kumomi Sengen Shrine found at the summit of Mt. Eboshi from ancient times, so it was believed to be an “Sengan gate”.
Later, it was named “Senganmon” because along with the surrounding scenic spots, “Seeing it has the worth of a thousand valuables”.
