Mt. Nijo (Nijosan)

Comprising two peaks of Odake (517m) and Medake (474m), Mt. Nijo appears in “Manyoshu,” Japan’s oldest existing collection of waka poems, which is said to have been compiled in the 8th century.
Each year, many hikers visit the mountain. On the best hiking course, you can see a panoramic view of the Nara Basin and Osaka Plain.
