Michinoeki (Roadside Station) Mitara Muroran (Hakucho Bridge Memorial Museum)

Currently registered as a Michinoeki (Roadside Station), "Mitara Muroran" was originally built as the Hakucho Bridge Memorial Museum for the posterity of Hakucho Bridge's construction, which was a major project for Muroran.
On the first floor, you can enjoy the dining hall, cafe, and soft-serve ice cream, as well as the very popular 'Uzuran Ice Cream' made from local Mumoran quail eggs.
We also offer local gourmet options such as 'Muroran Yakitori' and 'Muroran Curry Ramen'.
In addition, there is a souvenir shop selling specialties from Muroran and its neighboring areas, an observation deck on the second floor where you can view the beautiful scenery, a spacious kids' corner, a baby station for changing diapers or breastfeeding, as well as valuable materials related to the construction of the Hakucho Bridge.
It is a roadside station where tourists and citizens can stop by easily.
