Okayama Astronomical Museum

Okayama Astronomical Museum is a museum run by the city that is located in Kamogata-cho, Asakuchi City, in the southwestern part of Okayama Prefecture.
Visitors can get up close to space with the planetarium, solar observation, and so on.
In the same compound, there is a National Astronomical Observatory equipped with the largest reflecting telescope in Japan boasting a diameter of 188cm and it is also a tour route.
Also, Asia's largest telescope that is 3.8 meters by Kyoto University was completed in the summer of 2018 and observations started in the spring of 2019.
