Kashihara-jingu Shrine

This shrine celebrates Emperor Jinmu, the first emperor of Japan, and his empress as Gods.
In "Nihon Shoki", Japan's first national history book, this shrine is mentioned as the place where Emperor Jinmu was enthroned as the first emperor of Japan.
Additionally, the Nagayama Inari Shrine, a branch of Kashihara Jingu Shrine, has long been worshipped as the guardian deity of Nagayama.
The shrine grounds, covering approximately 500,000 square meters, have a fresh, yet solemn atmosphere. The shrine itself and the Bunka-den are designated as Important Cultural Properties.
