Rokusho jinja Shrine

The kami at Rokusho jinja Shrine is deeply revered as a guardian deity by the Matsudaira/Tokugawa clan, and to this day the shrine is believed to grant women an easy childbirth.
The gorgeous carvings and coloration of the shrine are all products of the Edo period, and as such they underwent restoration in 1976 via the same method used at Nikko Toshogu Shrine to bring them back to their original beauty.
