Chasuriyama Kofun (Tumlus)

The Chasuriyama burial mound is a circular burial mound built in the first half of the 5th century.
With a diameter of about 90 meters, it is one of the largest round burial mounds in the Kinki region and is the tomb of the "King of Tajima" who ruled the entire Tajima region.
The full picture of the tomb has been revealed through excavations for the construction of the Kitakinki-Toyooka Expressway and trial digging for the preservation and maintenance of the historic site.
