Kishu Toshogu Shrine

Kishu Toshogu Shrine was built in 1621 and has a history of 400 years. It belongs to three branch Tokugawa families.
At the top of the 108 steps, the colorful Romon gate (two-story gate) is decorated with the Tokugawa family crest of "mitsuba-aoi".
After passing through the Romon gate, you will see the shrine hall, which is decorated with carvings of animals such as cranes and murals by Kano Tanyu.
