Cherry blossom trees at Ohkouzu Water Diversion

This row of cherry blossom trees is featured in the "100 Best Cherry Blossom Spots in Japan".
Yoshino cherry trees were planted here to commemorate the completion of the "Ohkouzu Water Diversion Project", one of the century's great achievements. The trees come into full bloom right along the embankment.
Enjoy strolling from Shinano River Ohkouzu Museum to Ohkouzu Bridge while viewing the rows of cherry blossom trees.
Take in the colorful contrast between Shinano River, Mt. Kugami, and rows of cherry blossom trees.
Also, there is a nighttime light-up display with the cherry blossoms during the "Tsubame Sakura Festival" that runs yearly from early to mid-April.
