Light Up
The entire city of Onomichi is illuminated by a faint light.
Onomichi’s typical slopes, stone steps, and temples are illuminated throughout the year.
In April 2020, Senkoji New Road, symbolizing “Onomichi, the Town of Slopes,” was added.
Additionally, Mochikoji Temple, Ho-Doji Temple, Tenneiji Temple, Saikokuji Temple, and Jodoji Temple are also enveloped in fantastic lighting under the supervision of world-renowned lighting designer Mikiko Ishii.
On weekend nights, visitors can see cranes illuminated in five colors: blue, yellow, green, red, and white from in front of Onomichi Station.
