Kosanji Temple / Kosanji Museum
Visitors can appreciate masterpieces of Buddhism, the art of tea ceremonies, and modern art.
This temple of the Honganji sect of Shinshu Jodo was originally built by businessman Kozo Kosanji as a family temple (Bodaiji) for his mother.
The pagodas were modeled after national treasure buildings, and 15 of the buildings are designated as National Tangible Cultural Properties.
Visitors can see masterpieces of Buddhism, the art of tea ceremonies, and modern art in each of the museum’s exhibition halls, and the Hill of Future Minds, a marble garden of modern art, is a must-see.
