Bidatsu-tenno-ryo Kofun

The Bidatsu-tenno-ryo Kofun is the first Emperor's tomb built in Taishicho.
The mound is lined with Haniwa, terracotta clay figures that were made for ritual use and buried with the dead as funerary objects during the Kofun period (3rd to 6th centuries AD). It is surrounded by an empty moat.
It is said to be the tomb of the 30th Emperor Tendatsu and his mother, Empress Ishime.
