Nagaba Onigawara Factory
Established in 1961 by Sadashi Nagaba, the Nagaba Onigawara Factory creates onigawara tiles (hakuchi) in the style of the local 'Yasuda Gawara' brand. ('Hakuchi' refers to onigawara that are made with clay and then dried out.)
In addition to onigawara, they also sell ornaments, chopstick rests, and other items created in their kilns.
"We want to keep onigawara close to us all, and showcase the qualities of kawara tiles". This passionate desire serves as the factory's mission statement.
