Kikuchi Gorge

Kikuchi Gorge spreads throughout Aso Kuju National Park and is picturesque location that is designated as one of the 100 best forest bathing spots in Japan, top 100 waterfalls in Japan, and 100 exquisite waters of Japan, too.
Taking its source from Kikuchi River, the contrast between the gorge that flows between the surrounding natural broad-leaved trees makes for a simple incredible view!
The shoals, deep pools, and waterfalls of varying sizes that can be found in the water are a camera lover's dream.
It is known as a "natural air conditioner" and the perfect place to get away from the summer heat with average temperatures around 20c even in summer and average water temperatures at 14c.
