Takahirasan Henshoji Temple
Henshoji Temple is located at the top of Mount Takahira in the Iida district, south of town.
Sitting within the precincts of the temple is the grand statue of Buddha, praised as the largest in the Tokai region.
This large Buddha is inscribed with the name of Shichirozaemon Tanetsugu Yamada, a foundry worker from Mori, and is affectionately known as Kobo-sama by the locals because the temple's main deity is Kobo Daishi.
