Aoiaso Jinja Shrine
The 1200-year-old Aoiaso jinja Shrine was the first building in Kumamoto Prefecture to be designated a national treasure in 2008.
The locals call refer to the shrine as "Aoi-san (Mr./ Ms. Aoi)" and share intimate ties with it.
