Traditional Crafts Center of Shigaraki
Features exhibits of pictures, actual items, and replicas related to the historical roots of "Shigaraki ware" pottery, which has changed throughout time periods and across different cultures.
You can get a sense of Shigaraki ware's history and its connection to tea ceremony culture and the world of samurai, as well as see what it was like when it was at its peak in people's lives.
A special exhibition room is also available that takes on different themes each time to showcase current work from artisans, ancient pottery, and various types of collaborative work.
