Kananonji Temple Kannondo Hall (Miyama Kannondo Hall)

The 8th temple of the 33 Kannon (Buddhist deity of compassion) of Okitama.
This is a 5.5 square meter Amitabha temple hall with a thatched roof, built in the Miyama area of Shirataka.
The structure has a mixture of features from the late Muromachi era (1333-1573), but the date of construction is still unknown.
It is the oldest building in the prefecture and is designated as a National Important Cultural Property.
