Komatsu Orimono Kobo

The Komatsu Orimono Kobo performs kasuri dyeing using the "itajimekasuri dyeing" technique (rare even in Japan, with only two studios in the town).
This peculiar technique has been passed down for around over 130 years.
The technique has been designated as a traditional handicraft by the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry.
Visitors can also experience weaving and safflower dyeing.
