Paddy field at Negarami-Mae

The Paddy field at Negarami-Mae is the only paddy field in Hamura city, located in the uppermost part of the Tama River basin. It covers an area of approximately 59,000 m2 (1.26 times the size of the Tokyo Dome).
Rice is cultivated from early summer to autumn, and tulips from autumn to spring.
In early to mid-April, when the tulips are in full bloom, the Hamura Flower and Water Festival attracts many people.
