Hamura Museum

The Hamura Museum opened in 1985 as a place of learning to nurture the cultural imagination of the citizens.
The museum collects, preserves, and conducts research into materials related to the nature, climate, history, and culture of Hamura City. They are shared with the public through exhibitions, study groups, and publications.
On the site is the former Shimoda Family Residence which is now a nationally designated Important Tangible Folk Cultural Property; the Red Gate, which was the main gate of Nakazato Sukeyama's Daibosatsu Pass Memorial Museum, and the former Tanaka Family Nagaya Gate.
