Taji jinja Shrine

The original Taji jinja Shrine was founded between 704 and 708, and the current main shrine built in 1755 in the Niken-sha-ryu style.
The shrine is one of the largest in the Tamba region and is a registered cultural property of Kyoto Prefecture.
The rice field ceremony (Tawara no onda) held in the spring is recognized as a national intangible cultural asset, and the autumn dance ceremony (Kakosuri) a Kyoto prefecture intangible cultural asset.
