Den-enchofu Seseragi Hall

The Den-enchofu Seseragi Hall, located in Seseragi park, was designed by the world famous architect Kengo Kuma.
The building was designed to blend in harmony with the edge of a forest.
The engawa, wood or bamboo edging strip of non-tatami matted flooring, a characteristic feature of traditional Japanese architecture, is situated between the outside and the inside of the building, where you can relax in the pleasant shade.
The building also includes a café designed to resemble a traditional Japanese “hanare”, or secondary building apart from the main residence (“Omoya”), where you can enjoy a meal.
