Open-air Museum of Old Japanese Farm Houses
Located in Hattori Ryokuchi, the largest park in Osaka pre.,this museum is Japan's first outdoor museumz.
Typical farm houses throughout Japan have been relocated and restored for exhibion along with related folk utensils.
You can see 12 old farmhouses in one place from all over Japan.All those houses firmly retain the climate, habits, and wisdom of their original localities. Most of the houses were built in the Edo Period(17-19 century).
In a warm ambience like being in Satoyama, semi-natural place where people live close to nature, activities such as listening to explanation around a health, experiencing old day's life and tea ceremonies are held.
