Morinji Temple

This temple was where the old tale of a raccoon dog who transformed in a tea kettle, called "Bunboku Chagama" (Enchanted Tea Kettle), is said to have took place.
A "Bunbuku Guide" will provide a free guided tour of the history and episodes surrounding Morinji Temple. Reservations are required.
The statues of raccoon dogs on the approach to the temple are dressed in yukata (summer kimono) depending on the season, to the delight of visitors.
