Mount Kuba
Mount Kuba stands diagonally across from Kumaya Cave and is covered in a virgin forest of Chinese fan palms.
With a god thought to dwell in this plant, the mountain has been regarded as a sacred place since ancient times.
This kind of mountain is considered rare in Okinawa these days, and Mount Kuba has been designated as a Prefectural Natural Monument.
At its peak stands the northernmost unmanned lighthouse in Okinawa Prefecture.
