Shimonoseki Marine Science Museum “Kaikyo-kan"
Right in front of Kaikyo-kan, you will find a massive water tank called “Kanmon Straits Tidal Current Water Tank,” reproducing the tidal current of the Kanmon Straits. It will give you a strange sense that you are looking into the ocean.
About 30,000 sardines shining brightly silver swim in the Undersea Tunnel, and there is also the Underwater Tunnel where you can see penguins swimming lively like in the air with a 360 view. It makes it feel like you are under the ocean.
It is located in the number one city of blowfish in Japan, and as such, Kaikyo-kan has the most varieties of blowfish in the world.
The light displays at night are also romantic!
