National Treasure, Kozanji Temple
The distinguished temple was built in 1327, with the main gate, a two-story gate, and Japan’s oldest Zen Buddhist Butsuden(National reassure).
It is known as a famous spot to see cherry blossoms and autumn leaves, and it is also known as the temple where Shinsaku Takasugi raised an army.
Inside the temple, there is a bronze statue of Shinsaku on horseback.
