Kitoushi Forest Park
This natural park extends over Mt. Kitoushi (457-meter elevation) and is located on the north end of Higashikawa.
The park offers children-friendly facilities and activities, including Jabu-jabu Pond and the longest go-kart track in the Kamikawa area. In addition to that, there is an observation tower (360 meters), as well as observation decks that face the north and south respectively for sweeping views that stretch from Higashikawa to Asahikawa.
As a recommendation, the view of Mount Tokachi along the Daisetsuzan mountain range is especially scenic from the southern viewing deck.
This expansive location offers outdoor activities, including a golf course, a park golf course, and cabin accommodations (for extended stays as well). These give visitors a way to experience the area's gorgeous nature and wildlife all year long.
