Toyonaka Performing Arts Center

The Toyonaka Performing Arts Center can be found in a city with an active music scene.
The center was opened in January of 2017 and serves as a venue for a diverse repertoire of events, including appearances by popular artists invited from across the country.
The venue is also frequented by locals and has quickly become a hub of the city's culture and art. Reinforced masonry was was used for the facility's construction—the very first large-scale application of the method in the world.
The building's design is also optimized for taking in natural light, and the structure has been recipient to numerous architectural awards.
Two of the facility's permanent displays include a replica of an extinct crocodylian species called the 'Machikanewani' (Toyotamaphimeia machikanensis), which was excavated on the premises, and an exhibit area that features art by local artists.
The cafe was reopened after renovations in May of 2021.
Enjoy a selection of high-quality coffee options and a menu of freshly-made meals in the relaxing atmosphere of the newly revamped cafe.
