Kurotani-Washi, a traditional craft that has been designated an intangible cultural property by Kyoto Prefecture.
Kurotani-Washi, which has a history of 800 years and is known as one of the few handmade Japanese papers in Japan that keeps the old-fashioned way of manufacturing, is characterized as being durable and long-lasting, and is also used for the restoration of cultural properties.
