Ayabe City Observatory Pao

The Ayabe City Astronomical Observatory: Pao, has a 95cm reflecting telescope, making it one of the largest public observatories in Japan.
There is also a room where visitors can enjoy making crafts.
From Friday to Sunday, when the weather is clear, evening astronomical viewing events are held.

Transportation: Approximately 1 km from the Ayabe IC on the Maizuru Wakasa Expressway
Get off at JR Ayabe Station, take the Aya Bus Shinoda Sakuragaoka Line/Nishizaka Line (approx. 13 minutes), and it's about a 3-minute walk from Chutanbunkakaikan-mae bus stop.
