Former Iseya Pawn Shop

This pawnshop is said to have been frequented by the Meiji-era novelist Ichiyo Higuchi in her times of need.
Located in Kikusaka, Hongo, the shop is a Meiji period building with a storehouse, display room, and tatami room.
In cooperation with Atomi University, the owner of the building, and the ward authorities, the building's interior is fully open to the public.

※ Open: Fridays / Saturdays / Sundays (closed on certain days), as well as the 23rd November every year (Ichiyo's memorial day)
