Kodokan Judo Institute

The Kodokan is the headquarters of the art of judo, practiced in around 200 countries around the world. This institute was founded in 1882 by Jigoro Kano, the "Father of Judo".
The building's dojo is approximately 2,370㎡ in area, and that space is used by over 150 instructors and lecturers to teach their students.
The institute also houses the Kodokan Judo Museum and Library, which aim to inform visitors about the history and development of the Kodokan.
