Kan-yoji Temple
Kan-yoji is a temple of the Rinzai sect of Zen buddhism that was built in the Muromachi period by Mr. Ouchi, the guardian daimyo of Suo and Nagato provinces.
It is famous for its six graceful gardens, including the "Kakusui no Niwa" created by Mirei Shigemori, known as the "Sesshu of the Showa Era."
You can experience sutra copying and zazen (seated meditation) experiences by appointment, and it is also a popular spot for viewing autumn leaves in the fall.
