Teiko Port (Inner Harbor), Teiko Movable Bridge

The Teiko movable bridge (officially the Kochi Prefecture Teiko Port Harbor Road Movable Bridge) was completed at the entrance of Teiko port in September of 2002.
The movable bridge is 32 meters in length, and it takes about 6 minutes for it to open and close.
The crossing gate comes down once the warning alarm starts to ring, and the bridge then slowly begins to open.
The bridge is only crossable about 7 hours a day.

展望台から眺めるもよし、港から眺めるもよし、車に乗り遮断機の目の前で橋が降りて来るのを見て一番のりで橋を渡るも良し！いろんな楽しみ方ができます。橋が上がって、船が行き来する港町の風景はここならでは。橋が上がっている時間は、港の周りをぐるりと散策するのもおススメ！野中兼山が築いた日本最古の内堀港の歴史と風景を堪能ください。内港の周りを歩くときはぜひ足元にも注目してください。香南市で4枚あるうちの1枚、夜須町版のマンホールがあります。デザインは夫婦岩とクロマツ。香南市役所夜須支所では1人1枚マンホールカードがもらえます。
