Ikinajima-Itsukushima (Bronze statue of Hamada Kunitaro)

In the center of this small peninsula, which connects to land near Ikina Port, you can find Itsukushima Shrine and a bronze statue of Hamada Kunitaro, who is known as the father of marine transport.
Once lost during the war, the statue was rebuilt by the "Association to Honor Kunitaro Hamada" in 2009.
