The mitsumata is a member of the dictyophoraceae family, and has three branches from a single branch, with yellow flowers at the ends of each.
There is a colony on the hiking course through the Tsuru Alps, about a 10 minute walk from the trailhead of Rakuzan Ballpark.
The best time to see the flowers is from late March to April.
