Opened in 1949. The library features a comprehensive collection of materials related to the Hankyu Railway and Takarazuka Revue.
Over time, it has grown to include materials on other forms of theater such as Kabuki, as well as folk performance from all over Japan, becoming a unique specialized library.
In addition to books and magazines, it holds valuable materials such as modern industrial heritage materials, paintings of actors from the Kabuki theater, and posters from musical theater.
