Yamashiro-kodo Road
Totaling roughly 25km in length, the Yamashiro-kodo road is a walking trail that stretches to Joyo city, Ide town, and Kizugawa city in the south of Kyoto, and connects Kyoto and Nara.
Running almost parallel to the JR Nara Line and Kizugawa, this small path that winds gently around the mountain ridges of Minami-Yamashiro is surrounded by historic ruins and cultural treasures, not to mention abundant nature, and nostalgic scenery can be seen throughout the path.
Please enjoy walking while looking at the calm woodland and countryside scenery.
Walking events are held in the spring and autumn.
