Kumedaji Temple

This temple was built by Japanese Buddhist priest Gyoki in 738 (Tenpyo Year 10).
It was burned down in the war between the Miyoshi and Hatakeyama clans during the Eiroku era (1558 to 1570).
The current building was rebuilt in the middle of the Edo period.
Among the documents located within this temple, the "Kusunokike Monjo" are designated as a National Important Cultural Asset, and the grounds of the Kumedaji Temple are also designated as a historic site by Osaka Prefecture.
