Sannomaru Jinja Shrine
It is said that this shrine was founded during the period of the Northern and Southern Courts.
In 1703, Nagayasu Okabe, the current lord of this domain, invited the deity Inari from Fushimi, Kyoto to Sannomaru shrine to pray for the safety of his people.
During that time, the Inari Festival was held on September 27th at Sannomaru Jinja Temple. Jiguruma (four-wheeled carts) from each town beat on their shrine taiko drums and conducted various performances for the feudal lord.
There is a theory that this Inari Festival was the true origin of the Kishiwada Danjiri Festival.
